THE ONE PIECE REMAKE IS REAL
Wit Studio and Netflix are collaborating on a new anime adaptation of "One Piece."
The Attack on Titan studio is set to give One Piece an upgrade
anime adaptation of The One Piece manga is in the works, set to premiere on Netflix. Produced by Wit, the acclaimed studio behind Spy x Family and the initial three seasons of Attack on Titan, the announcement came via Netflix's special video release on Sunday.
The upcoming series, titled The One Piece, faithfully follows the manga's narrative, commencing with the East Blue saga. This collaborative project involves key partners such as Shueisha, Fuji Television Network, and Toei Animation Co., the studio responsible for the ongoing production of the current One Piece anime.
Although crafting a new rendition while the original series is still ongoing may seem unconventional, it aligns with the show's origins. Despite its current global stature, One Piece had humble beginnings, with many episodes produced under Toei's earlier animation methods and a somewhat constrained budget
Given Wit's status as one of the foremost anime studios, The One Piece is poised to receive a definitive adaptation marked by high-quality animation right from its inception. Notably, Toei's rendition of the narrative contains a considerable amount of filler content, a facet that Wit may choose to eliminate in its adaptation.
